The advantages of compressed or rammed earth blocks are many. Since the blocks are machine made they are uniform in size and, with some care, uniform in density. It is common practice to drystack (mortarless) 10" or thicker walls immediately upon ejection from the machine since the blocks are smooth and sharp cornered. This saves on mortar costs as well as handling and damage costs as the blocks are only handled once.

We have had many requests for an inexpensive machine that will produce a small block (brick) that can be handled one handed. We now are offering the PGA-120-8 that produces a 4"(10cm) x 8"(20cm) x 6"(15cm) at a rate of 2+ bricks per minute, fully automatic, for a price of less than $10,000 US. The prototype is almost completed and testing results will be available by the end of the year. At that time the price will be determined. This machine will also be available in larger as well as metric block sizes. |
