Double Press Series
also known as the 14" Double Press
Back in 2000 (mas o menos) we found that we really needed to solve thge large block compaction differential problem. We had some potential clients at the time from South Africa that needed uniformly compact 14" x 10" blocks to satisfy code requirements. This was a problem because on a horizontal press that pressed anything larger than an 8" press length, the friction pressure differential could only be overcome by excess water in the mix which made a cracked block. So my Dad (WC) and my brother Mike set about getting out of the box and came up with a double press design that worked. Yeah, there were some complications and the ejection mechanism was really fun but over the next 6 years we all made it work and began building them.
This is a handy design for the american southwest as 10 x 14 adobes are the standard whereas the 8 x 12 not so much.
These machines are the cadillacs of the blockpress industry and only for the well funded and well planned but if thats you, ill be tickled to build you
a set, set of what you ask, well these eat a lot of soil and you will definitely need an EarthBlender.
one more thing, the prices reflect diesel engine power units but can be made into electric units which will have too be quoted.
